Creatively speaking, beadweaving is one of my first (and greatest) loves.
I began in the early 1980's, and still find it intensely satisfying -- beadwork is tactile, meditative, versatile and portable.
My favorite techniques include bead embroidery, peyote stitch and netting. My favorite materials include natural stone and glass cabochons, vintage microbeads and nailheads (aka "sew-ons").

Over the years, I've explored several creative paths including leather work, mask making, book binding, calligraphy and mixed media collage.
It seems that no matter what media I choose, beads always seem to crop up in my work.

I'm not very good about documenting my stuff -- it seems I usually gift or sell my pieces before I remember to take pictures.
The point of this page is to get me to break that habit. So ideally, this page will grow to hold less words and more sparkly stuff!
